Anouk series 6, Fanfan series 2!

I'm so sorry that I haven't been blogging as regularly as before. Moving from England to Switzerland, the birth of my grandson, and some health issues have put me behind.

But I have been working away on the next releases. The theme is one close to my heart: Bollywood in the 1960s. Though if you are thinking saris, bindis, and heavy gold jewelry, think again!

In the 1960s the whole trend of Bollywood films changed. Technicolor, exotic locations and a new breed of Mod heroines were introduced.

Actresses like Saira Banu, Sadhana, Sharmila Tagore, and Asha Parekh brought in a new westernised glamour and style. Foot high bouffants, winged eyeliner, hoop earrings, and mini skirts abounded, as they drove their convertibles around glamorous locations, danced the twist in nightclubs, and  spouted lines like "Daddy daaahling" and ""You idiot! Don't be silly!"🤣🤣🤣

One of the biggest trends was filming sequences abroad, particularly Switzerland and Paris.

Western actors and dancers could often be seen in these films. The titles tell it all: An evening in Paris, Love in Tokyo, Night in London etc.

I used to find the posters for these films SO exciting!!!❤️

It was here that Anouk and Fanfan got exposed to Bollywood, and even made a few cameo appearances being the high profile models and socialites they were.😉
