KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI DOLLS

 

Something different in the world of my doll making. A three doll set inspired by the 1998 blockbuster movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (Something Happens). 

Back in the day the film was a phenomenon.  It changed the trend of how Bollywood films were made, and had a far reaching influence on youth culture in music, fashion etc. The film's three main characters, Tina, Rahul, and Anjali became the teen idols of millions.

It was unashamedly escapist, sentimental and kitsch, but very entertaining!

Making these dolls was a real labour of love. All the little details etc. My long term collaborator Andrei Teican did a great job on the clothes. 

It was a bit of a passion project. I'm happy with how they turned out.

Ten Years of Anouk

 Unbelievably today is the ten years anniversary of Anouk. I took the very first pre orders on this day, a decade ago!

Thank you all for your support and loyalty. There would be no Anouk without you.
